We are seeking software engineers who are adaptable, inquisitive, and driven and who enjoy taking on challenging tasks on a global basis.  You will be a vital member of a multi-functional development team as a Visa Software Engineer, creating, designing, developing, and testing software solutions that cater to a truly worldwide clientele. You will be able to observe how your work is influencing the digital future of financial transactions as you construct the elements of robust payment technology.  

 

The actual work:

• Create systems and code that affect 40% of the global population and have an impact on Visa's internal scalability, security, and reusability criteria.
• Work together across functional boundaries to produce design artifacts and top-notch software solutions for various Visa technical offerings.
• Participate actively in new business flows, value service technologies, and product quality enhancements in a variety of agile teams.
• Create scalable and reliable products for a wide range of clients, such as business-to-business (B2B), end-user merchants, and government-to-business solutions.
• Build the next generation of payment services, transaction platforms, real-time payments, and buy now, pay later technology by utilizing cutting-edge technologies.

This job is a hybrid. Hybrid workers are able to switch between working remotely and in the office. Workers in hybrid jobs are required to work from the office two or three days a week, depending on the site and leadership. In general, they should be in the office at least 50% of the time, depending on business requirements.

 

Qualifications

• At least two years of work experience with an advanced degree (such as a master's, MBA, doctoral, or JD) or five or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree, or zero years of work experience with a doctorate, OR eight or more years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Credentials

• Five or more relevant years of experience with an advanced degree (such as a master's, master's, master's, doctoral, or JD) or four or more years of experience with a PhD, or seven or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree 
• Proficient in Java, Microservices, Kafka, RDBMS, Enterprise Architecture, and AngularJS/React 
• Must possess a thorough understanding of AI and ML. 
• Must be proficient in high availability system management and performance engineering. 
• You have demonstrated the capacity to identify needs, create plans, organize resources, and carry out action plans. 
• Proven capacity to oversee several projects at once and to settle scheduling and other issues to ensure that all deadlines are met. 
• A deep comprehension of cloud container-based architecture, including Docker and Kubernetes 
• Should be skilled in creating and implementing web application architecture patterns for elastic scalability,
• A solid grasp of REST and web services for enterprise integration
• Recognize current trends in security risks and technology, as well as security requirements and standards.
• Proficiency in a range of development approaches and a sophisticated comprehension of their respective advantages and disadvantages. Strong Agile methodology experience is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities with audiences of all backgrounds.
• Technical and professional development coaching experience for engineers
